The South Marginal Road facility has produced power since 1911. Now owned by FirstEnergy, the plant serves as an intermediate load facility, generating 240 MW of electricity. There are also transmission and distribution facilities located on the site. The plant provides power to Cleveland area businesses and residences as well as delivering electricity to Cleveland Public Power.
